This blog is a continual project by two travel enthusiasts – a writer and a photographer. Together they came to be known as ‘The Wandering Duo’. Legend has it that they met a decade back and discovered their common interests – travel, food and music. The initial phase was marked by several road trips within India . They got together again on foreign soil and continued their sojourn across 30+ countries (and counting). It is believed that some people eat to live, while these two have been famous for pursuing a nomadic life to eat.
The Photographer
She is the brain behind the visual appeal of this travelogue, and is also responsible for planting the bug of traveling to unexplored places. Once the destination is decided, she then takes on the role of initial research and unique things to do. She also manages the Instagram page for the blog. Several of her posts have been re-grammed by travel influencers and prestigious publications such as National Geographic and Conde Nast Traveler.
If you check out her playlists, you might mistake her for a wild child born in the Woodstock era. But dig deeper and you will discover that her taste in music in rivaled closely by the fashion sense. Give her a camera (any camera – smartphone, DSLR or compact) and you can feel the magic of bringing ideas to life. All the photos on this website are conceptualized and shot by her.
The Writer
He creates the words that you read on this site. Apart from writing, he is responsible for the detailed itinerary planning and the logistics for the trip – flights, trains, hotels and car rental. He is the brain behind the infrastructure of this blog and setting up the website.
Engrossed in reading for most of his waking hours, you can find a Kindle, an iPhone and his MacBook within an arm’s reach of wherever he is stationed. He is usually absorbed in trance music and day dreaming when he not doing any of the above activities. He is a nocturnal creature and considers a desk job as the corporate world’s way of reigning him.
